Plan ‘B’: Leave a Comment

Working in the web industry, it is easy to forget that not everyone uses Digg and Twitter.

So when I asked readers who have enjoyed ‘Vito: The Cat Who Wouldn’t Purr’ to follow me on Twitter, and Digg the first chapter on Digg as a public affirmation of the story, I didn’t realize I was placing an obstacle in their path.

Long story short, it’s time for Plan ‘B’.

What is Plan ‘B’?

Encourage readers to share their enthusiasm for the story in a way that they’ve been doing all along — by leaving a comment.

Or more specifically, leaving on comment on THIS page.

It doesn’t so much matter what you write, as long as you leave a comment (though something positive would be preferred) because the more comments we generate on this page, the more we can show publishers that there are readers for this story.

And if you’re not sure what to say, perhaps you can suggest that not only would you buy ‘Vito: The Cat Who Wouldn’t Purr’ as a book, but you would also shower praise on any publisher wise enough to publish it.

As a pet enthusiast and some one who has been sharing a home with a beloved companion for almost 10 years,I find the chapters quite close to my heart.

As an aspiring writer, I also find the material nicely structured, the narrative moving on with a decisive pace, as we are invited chapter by chapter to discover more about Vito`s personality and his adventures.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a pleasant read or a break from the dat-to-day routine.

Cat-lovers of all ages should be enchanted and entertained by this well-crafted, well-written story about a man and his quirky, feline companion, Vito.

Concise chapters provide insightful and amusing vignettes of their growing relationship, and should resonate with anyone who has formed an affectionate bond with these mysterious creatures.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who cares about cats!

Pamela is so on target! It makes you want to go to the local SPCA and see if you can find your very own “feline companion” like Vito.

Ohhh Vito and DiG, I have to admit that I have retold bits and pieces of your stories bringing tears of laughter to some friends. Playing with the mouse in the bathtub is one of them that I have shared a few times. I think it is a mark of a good story if it “needs” to be shared. Now that it is online, I can really share it (and the telling will be much better directly from the source).

As one of the few people privileged to share living quarters with Vito over his life, it’s a delight to see those days recaptured in such style. You have a great way of telling a story that makes me feel like I was living with Vito even during the times I wasn’t. What a treasure this book will be for any publisher smart enough to swoop in on it! Thanks for sharing it with us all.

Your story is enchanting. Almost as enchanting as the cat himself. Memories of Vito will always bring a smile to my face and he does feature in several of my favorite cat-related stories. Such keen intelligence. Such warmth and character. Such vigor in the hunter cat! DiG, you capture Vito well. I delight in your prose and your heart.

At first glance, the title does make me think that it is a children’s book. Several of the additional title options listed on the page tend to make me think of children’s/young reader books as well.

However, upon reading the story, Vito is so much more. While my daughter enjoyed the read as a fun cat story, I read so much more! The story is a multi-leveled accomplishment….and I an anxious to see what is next!

As for the title, there is something about “I, Vito”…..

    Write on!

I love the title page. Very crisp and appealing. As an home sharer with three cats each chapter is dear to my heart. Wonderful story. Hey publishers! Wake up! This is a jewel.
